This is at the only traffic signal between Guatamela City and Huehuetenango. They have very nice and clean rest rooms as well as a Coca Cola Light and Milky Way (my breakfast for the morning).

SkyWatch Friday (my fourteenth) -- At the top of the world ceiling

Not a cloud in sight for this picture. There were a few, see the pictures at the bottom.

Here we have a view of a ceiling in a bedroom.



This was while we toured the Royal Yacht Britannia during our visit to Edinburgh, Scotland.

While there we found this pretty stuffed bear riding on top of a ceiling fan in one of the bedrooms.

We have no explanation for why it was there.

SkyWatch Friday (my thirteenth) -- Fall sky above Texas orchard

We call these things Horse Apples but their proper name is Osage Oranges. They grow on a lot of native trees around here and are generally called a nuisance.

The fruit can be used as insect repellent but it is hard to get into a spray bottle.

Down the road a bit is this ornamental pear tree in bloom. Many of the pear trees are in bloom here right now. This is one of ours in the front yard.

I blame it on shock caused by Hurricane Ike, their system is messed up and they think they have to make blooms so late in the year.

then enjoy the dance

Surprise oh surprise
saved a plate they did
will eat with my friend
going to save the night

Waiting too this girl
that's how met my love
she to be my wife
saved the night we did
