Two o'clock ~ Haiku Bones

[large picture] [extra large]

Afternoon

It's two o'clock and
all is well — dog's in her bed
it's time for our nap

- - - - - - -

It's two o'clock on
long hot summer afternoon
time for nature's nap

- - - - - - -

One Single Impression: Avatar

My Avatar

Ugly and so scrawny
smirks at me from afar,
my avatar hates me;
I hate my avatar.

What did he do to me
that gets me so upset?
The others are pretty
yet here's my ugly pet.

And now I'm asking you
what is your opinion;
for you would he do?
I'd rather an onion.

Beauty running skin deep
but no curves here to love,
angles and bony knees.
My own is far above.

T E C H N O L O G Y

Time is 12 o'clock
Everything is blinking
Colon eyes are staring
Home goes on anyway
Nobody set the VCR
Only time won't tell
Lonely sights of trouble
Our twelve o'clock display
Genius needed to set
Youngsters soon will come

One Single Impression: Murmur

The Children Murmur

The children are murmuring
it is the first day of school
the new teacher is real mean
we've heard she spanks with a rule

The children are murmuring
the school lunches are not good
our parents don't seem to care
if they ate them then they would

The children are murmuring
our P.E. coach makes us run
and recesses are too short
how can we have any fun

The children are murmuring
the teacher had brought a sack
she's opening it now--you think
every day might bring a snack

The children are murmuring
the bell is so very loud
we'll see how tomorrow goes
no words for our parents now

Pregnant ~ Haiku Bones

Pregnant

in expecting way
making babies takes nine months
all except the first
heard that saying from an aunt
the kids in school say it too

One Single Impression: Hesitation (Monet's home pictured)

[large picture] [extra large]... . . ....

Hesitation
.
.
He came around back
and rang at her gate.
Oh my love you're here
please do come right in.

Hesitated step
still not in the gate.
Yes, yes, lift the latch
you silly boy you.

Through the gate he stepped
closed it tight behind.
That's the good lad now,
come, Daddy is out.

Don't knock, the neighbors
will hear the dogs' bark.
Door was at the back
up the steps he went.

Halted on the stair
timid now she was.
Hesitant again,
our lad turned and ran.

End Act One. Now a short intermission.
