Acrostic: Road Rage

ROAD RAGE

Road is open
Old fellow ahead
Asleep at wheel
Dawdling old fool

Right turn ahead
Aww! old goat
Going my way
Eee yow! %&$#?@!

One Single Impression: Fissures

My Wish

see the Grand Canyon
that's high on my bucket list
why because it's there
when and how I do not know
tried before and could not go

Night Rain ~ Haiku Bones

Somber Peace

her window's ajar
pitty pat escape in sleep
night rain's peace will reign
sadness comes stillborn and death
A Farewell to Arms recalled

drops on window run
pitty pat escape in sleep
night rain's peace will reign
bright morning seems different
new day starts bringing fresh hope

One Single Impression: Mask

.

In Hiding

Why do you wear that mask
Lone Ranger wanna be?
Do people often ask
reveal yourself to me?

Brazen robber abhorred
stealthy night man so vile?
Incognito—you lord
over the night a while.

On your path to the ball
imbued with rich ego?
Grandness one dares not call—
one peek before you go?

Noted surgeon sterile
cap, gloves, gown, mask applies.
Nurses and scrubs at will
glimpsing beneath your guise—

Features blatantly shine
yet emotions unseen—
thoughts latently abide
your being hides from me.

Curious me, I want to know, reveal yourself to me

Bamboo ~ Haiku Bones

Bamboo

fountains—water spouts
gardners love—yet their bane
grow too rapidly

Bamboo growth rate is over 12 inches a day. The grown plants send out runners that soon will take the garden over if the runners are not contained.

Anthem ~ Haiku Bones

Got some calls

Early morning sound
Mother Nature's wake up call
ten banty roosters

One Single Impression: Cognizance

She was barely awake
no alarms set for today

Yet somehow
someplace
someone's alarm had stirred her deep

It sounded in her ear
in her head
The cat was still sleeping

she wished she had a dog
The dog would have barked
making her feel
much more safe

A shadow brushed the curtain
quickly she closed the window
Rather she tried
The window did not shut
her eyes were fixed
A gruesome sight for her to see

Run run scream run
Oh for a dog right now

The cat rolled over
barely hissed
What was the trouble
no one was there for such a scare

The clothes on the line
left there from yesterday
swaying in the breeze

Of these my lady was not aware
as she grabbed a broom
out the door she ran
still screaming
for all to hear

Now she remembered to look under her pillow
There was a gun
she cocked it
aimed

Wait, wait
something's not right
Where was the broom
why was she still in bed

Shoot to kill regardless
understand tomorrow

the cat ducked under the bed
the clothes fell off the line
the window slammed shut

Fuzzy brained barely cognizant of moonlight and fear she drifted into sleep once more

Acrostic: An arm and a leg

AN ARM AND A LEG

Always consider the cost
Never pay too much

Arms are not cheap
Right now two for
More will be later

A leg costs less
Now at half price
Don't pay to much

Arm and a leg

Lady please use cash
Eye love your limbs
Give 'em to me
