Saturday Centus: Will the dancer get her man?

.

It was late in the afternoon. He'd eaten, sunned and eaten some more.

Back home kids were sleeping, pets were fed, and Monk was on TV.

Here the daylight now began looking forward to a beautiful evening at sea.

Out of the corner of his eye Smitty could see one of the dancers approaching. Instantly his heart was going pita-pat.

This wasn't in the plan. He was a married man minding his own business, what was she doing here?

"Mr. Smith, I have come," the beautiful lady said.

"Oops, wrong number!" he cried.

"Oh no, I'm living the dream, man..."

Acrostics Only: Acrostic Haiku - SAP

. .
S A P

Soon spring sap will run
As the greening tree juices
Possible pail full

Acrostics Only: Prompt B: Acrostic Haiku (AH) - SAP - (A Haiku is a Japanese lyric verse form having 3 un-rhymed lines of 5, 7, 5 syllables, traditionally invoking an aspect of nature or the seasons.)
(Similarly constructed poems involving human nature, are generally excluded from haiku, and reserved specifically for Senryū.)

Notes:
1. Photos are of the same tree in our neighbor's back yard. The upper picture was taken this winter, the lower today, the second day of spring, 2012. I think it is a red maple tree. I could be wrong.
2. "Maple syrup is a syrup usually made from the xylem sap of sugar maple, red maple, or black maple trees, although it can also be made from other maple species. In cold climates, these trees store starch in their trunks and roots before the winter; the starch is then converted to sugar that rises in the sap in the spring. Maple trees can be tapped by boring holes into their trunks and collecting the exuded sap. The sap is processed by heating to evaporate much of the water, leaving the concentrated syrup." One Single Impression: Miracle (an acrostic poem)

.
M I R A C L E

Magic it seemed to be
Insiders know it's fake
Real people don't eat quiche
All the stones turned to cake
Calling to all the thieves
Let's go through the side gate
Everyone there believes

Saturday Centus: Iadra gets big help from Xentor (Money won't melt in your hands)

.
Iadra was so proud of her new purchase. She had gotten the whole slew very cheap. And brightly colored they were so pretty.

But when arrived home with her treasures they had all melted. Some even had melted in her hands. Why had she not asked for a bag?

She called her good friend, Xentor, for advice and his consolence.

"You go right down and ask for your money back. Scream and holler if you have to."

"I'll just do that," Iadra said

"How much did you pay for those beads?" asked Xentor.

"It was only ninety-eight cents..."

Saturday Centus: Isadora and Xenter Say Goodbyes

For today "Saying goodbye was harder than she thought..." is our Saturday Centus prompt word group.

Here is my story in 107 words as required (could have been less):

- - - - - -

It seemed the week had barely started and now she was to leave. Saying goodbye was harder than she thought...

Isadora's visit with Xentor was a nice respite. But time had gone so fast. If only she could hide away in one of his closets until her ordeal was over.

First, clean her house before the sheriff took it away. Five payments behind and empty cupboards faced her.

On the way to the car, Xentor slipped her a small heavy envelope.

Isadora didn't open it until she was on her way. Voila! Cousin Xentor had saved her day! Inside the envelope were 200 bright fifty dollar bills.

°It is Saturday Centus day. Jenny in her blog,
...off my tangent... , has challenged us with writing a 106 word story using these seven words, in order, "Saying goodbye was harder than she thought...".
°That is 100 of our words plus the seven she has required. She did allow less, but I made it to an even 107.

°Jenny also had a picture of a child waving goodbye that we could use or we were allowed to use our own. I opted to use this one of my friend, Juan and his friends. The Ford Model T belongs to Juan. It trolls along at a steady 30 mph on the highways.
°You can find more writers signed up at Jenny's blog, ...off my tangent.... You can also go there to find instructions for writing your own post.
