Was it real? -- a Tuesday Platform Challenge poem inspired by Poe

I had a dream, or was it real
You slipped away without a kiss
Is this the way that we should part
Did you carry a bit of me
A piece of my heart you might keep
A grain like sand stuck to your foot

When I waken will you be here
Head on my pillow like before
If I changed my dream you'd be there
I'll not brush your feet if you've stayed
Those sandy feet, one has a grain
that could be me, piece of my heart

Kerry related to Edgar Allen Poe's poem, Dream within a dream, and suggested as an optional challenge to write our thoughts after reading it. Mine is here.

She delights, inspires, and amazes me -- The Edge Challenge

What would a guy always like?
Some surely would say his bike
Me? "Perhaps a motor bike"

Some things fit most any boy
Every boy has special toy
Me?  "Cast iron Ford is my toy"

Better than a toy?  "Yes sir"
"My wife is my special girl"

I am linked with Ella at blogspot.com/2015/07/the-edge_9.html
Ella requested that we "pen a poem about what you will never outgrow - what will delight, inspire, and  amaze you."
(Above the Los Ramblas, Mrs. Jim was studying up on places to go and see while we were in Barcelona.   Southern France would be next.)

No help at all -- Flash 55 Poetry

Ate another's bread
Taste not worthy to my tongue
Salted with his sweat

Walked another's path
Rock strewn, pits and snares abound
Stumbled, bruised my bod

Breathless going up
Up and down, steep was his stair
Tumbled each down step

Bear his load I'll not
Heavy, back cracking, I can't
Walked his walk for naught
