NaPoWriMo 2018-14 -- Day 14, a Poem, dreams to be concerned

In his dreams there was one
One that the doctors called
a "recurring dream"

For our young man this was no small matter
He could not get it out of his mind-stuck
more than once a week the dream reoccurred

The dream

In a small café in Bernice he would go.  There to write poetry and drink coffee and eat chocolate éclairs.  But it bugged the snot out of him, the table wobbled.  Wobbled so badly that it was hard for him to write. He used to like that dream but reconsidered when the table was introduced.  It wobbled, one leg was shorter than the rest.  A book of matches or two under the short leg solved the problem.

That was the first problem, but in his dream he could never find that book of matches or two.  This presented a terrible situation for which there was not solution.  He never brought matches, he did not think about changing tables (this one looked over the park, giving him inspiration for his poems).   And to ask the inn keeper to fix it was out of the question.

Writing the Dream Book entry for "Wobble Table Dreams"

So bad for him was this dream that he went to see a psych.  The psych was of no avail, his dream books had never heard of a dream like this.  You're a poet and writer, why don't you write an entry for the "wobbly table" recurring dream.

His entry

The dream--one of the nastiest ever
Table wobbles
Can't be made to stop
Live with it

Meaning of the dream-Dreamt by
a very frustrated person
Doesn't trust the docs
more than one has told him to leave
the last one said to him
guess you're just going to have to
Live with it

NaPoWriMo 2018-13 -- Day 13, a Poem with more figures of speech

Books never written

Dying of exhaustion
A good night's sleep will cure
Laughter good medicine
Bones sobbing like jelly

Living memories dead
Best of annihilations
Books never written fall
Feathers of inked paper

Next time best cry instead
Sympathy medicine

NaPoWriMo 2018-12 -- Day 12, a Walking Poem

Walking through the rain forest;
  guided tour with no guide

Sunny day, walking through the rain forest
Guided ourselves the paid one didn't come
Ask what we saw and no one is telling
You wouldn't believe the stories we'd tell

Crocodiles and alligators playing
They were playing basketball, pickup game
Gators were winning were in better shape
No dunking them, they'd bite the ball and break

Snakes and skunks were sun bathing together
Made me think, olden days of fox and goose
No trees in sight from the school house playground
Trails carved in ten inch deep snow, I'll be Fox

Chickens laid purple eggs and didn't sleep
Cows gave greenish milk--skim milk for adults
Pigs tried crowing rooster style, oinking's out
Rehearsing all, Earth Day* come Sunday next

NaPoWriMo 2018-11 -- Day 11, a Bad days for Boys

The day he lost his room
a day to remember
'Twas to be expected
defer to new baby
A fun part of him changed
on the porch bed for him

Did not complain or cry
in this he had no voice
Wouldn't be the last time
only first of many
Last?  Sold his pickup truck
told his manhood goodbye

 - Generally for the "Micro-poetry" I try to use exactly 55 words.  But tonight I hit 59.  I could pare off six, one line for some, and add a three word title.  Or use larger words.  But no, I'll leave it like this.

NaPoWriMo 2018-10 -- Day 10, a Bad Pony Poem

Bad Pony

This morning bright
I drove my little car
It was my car
Mustang, present to me*

This little car
has a mind if it's own
Inside the shop
Asked for a kolache

Clerk said to me
we don't have kolaches
Sheepish reply
I should be street across

Mustang's bad deed
went to the place she likes
But donut shop's
not where I want to be**

Notes: (this one is pretty much true, I wrote about myself and my Mustang)
*  It is a 1998 Ford Mustang GT Convertible.  I bought it in 1999 as a Retirement Present for myself. It had 49K miles then now it has 111K miles.  Mrs. Jim did retire in 1999 and we moved to our retirement home, 75 miles away from the college, my work.  But then I worked until health problems forced me to retire in 2001.  The dog is Adi, she died in 2012.  Adi and I were a registered pet therapy team.
** But I did buy a Dozen donut Holes, one Donut, and one Apple Fritter while I was there.  The Kolache place is across the wide street and up 200 feet.  There I bought six Sausage Kolaches.  I haven't eaten a Donut since 2007, eleven years ago but did share the Kolache with Mrs. Jim.

NaPoWriMo 2018-09 -- Day 9, another Poem for Fun

Waiting for. . . . . . . ;
   (a surprise)

O happy day for me
happy of happiests
I made a wish, big one
for sure it's coming true
Wished on a falling star
firefly in my jar

But I can't tell you what
just that it's coming true
Highest of the highests
high high my wish guru
Pledged to him secrecy
which means I can't tell you

Bigger than Santa Claus
more so than his Rudolph
Way larger wish than you
could ever imagine
Just wait and you will see
how my wish will come true

'I've got' my fingers crossed
threw salt over my back
Drank potent witch's brew
rabbit's foot for me, you
My big day is coming
we wait and you will see

NaPoWriMo 2018-08 -- Day 8, a Poem for Fun

.
Of the Nagging Woman;
fill in the blanks with your own words

I.

She's (besides being _____ )
  She's Loud
  and Disappointing,
  Arrogant
  It's Demoralizing
  the way she Barks
  So Disgustingly irritating

  Spews Hateful remarks,
  they are so Very grating

II.

How I feel (like _____ )
  I might be Insufficient
but for sure I'm terribly Disappointed
Often I would like to be Hatefully retorting
  I'm Demoralized
  and painfully Hurt,
  wishing I was Running away

  I feel like Dirt
she treats me like that.  I could go Faraway

III.

What to do (besides _____ )
  Sometimes I Cry
  almost drives me to Drink
  wish I could Muffle
  her and Disappear
while she gets loose.  I like to Kick
but I'll settle on going to the Golf course

It makes me to Be sick
You might think we need to Divorce

I am not sure everyone will call this work tonight a poem, it got late as I've had a busy Sunday, I'm sorry.  For sure it is a list of words or phrases.  I did in my mind have something much better planned.  I think it may fit the requirements of both the groups above.

That said, Sanaa want us to try a new form, the A L' Arora
 - Hers ideally would have four verses but she said that two or three would do.
 - The second is modeled after Shelly's defence described in the NaPoWriMo instructions.  Mine is very abbreviated though.
 - I believe it also loosely fits the requirement of a "triptych form poem," also very abbreviated (Google links for you to read up on it).
